BurnAware運行之後，在程序窗口左邊選擇你需要刻錄的光盤類型，之前提到的，有CD、DVD和藍光光盤，每個標籤下對應的功能是基本相同的，可以製作以保存文件數據為主的數據光盤或啟動光盤，用於影碟或音樂類型的媒體光盤以及製作光盤鏡像（ISO或針對光盤種類的鏡像）；還有就是兩個最常用的光盤工具，用於查看光盤信息和擦寫光盤數據（必須是可讀寫光盤）。
