谷歌瀏覽器Google Chrome穩定版迎來v78第二個維護版本發布，詳細版本號為v78.0.3904.87，上一個正式版v78.0.3904.70發佈於10月23日，時隔9天Google又發布了新版Chrome瀏覽器，本次升級主要是更新了安全修復和穩定性改進及用戶體驗。

谷歌瀏覽器v78正式版帶來了多項功能和改進，在Windows 10（版本1511+）系統上默認啟用。還引入了內置的密碼檢查工具，目的是如果在用戶登錄期間發現異常就會發出提醒，允許用戶在新標籤頁中添加壁紙，以及安裝來自於Chrome Web Store上的主題。

谷歌瀏覽器v77正式版在視覺上進行了較大的調整，引入全局媒體控件和新的配色主題，新的Favicon加載動畫，保護用戶的安全改進，以及全新的歡迎體驗，試圖使整個啟動過程更加有效。

谷歌瀏覽器v76正式版隱藏了瀏覽器地址欄中的http/https和www前綴標記，默認在所有網站上阻止Adobe Flash，用戶可以重新啟用Flash，但只能在單擊到播放模式下使用Flash，同時還會出現一個警告，即Chrome在2020年12月之後將不支持Flash播放器。Adobe也將從2021年起停止支持Flash，所以這個更改是相當明智的。
