谷歌瀏覽器Google Chrome穩定版迎來v74首個版本發布，詳細版本號為v74.0.3729.108，上一個正式版v73.0.3683.103發佈於4月6日，時隔18天Google又發布了新版Chrome瀏覽器，本次升級主要是更新了39項安全修復和穩定性改進及用戶體驗。

谷歌瀏覽器v74正式版增加了兩個關鍵功能：對網頁和操作系統級集成的減速支持瀏覽器將獲得Windows 10的原生黑暗模式。這比集成瀏覽器外殼更深入，如果從相應PC的Windows操作系統中的應用程序樣式中選擇暗黑模式，瀏覽器現在將自動適應它。

谷歌瀏覽器v73正式版為macOS平台引入Dark Mode的支持，用戶在升級Chrome 73穩定版並重新打開之後，如果用戶在macOS Mojave 10.14或者更高版本中啟用Dark模式，Chrome瀏覽器也會跟隨系統變為Dark主題，不過需要注意的是設置頁面並不會更改。

谷歌瀏覽器v72正式版改進了與其它幾大Web瀏覽器的互操作性，不贊成繼續提供對TLS 1.0/1.1標準的支持（預計在2020年初的Chrome 81中徹底移除）。

谷歌瀏覽器v71正式版添加了以屏蔽惡意誘導性廣告，並通過顯示收費警告的方式打擊惡意廣告行為的新功能。Chorme也會靜音那些打開時自動播放聲音的網頁，用戶必須手動點擊播放按鈕才能播放語音合成內容，用戶不主動操作那麼直接禁止音頻的播放。

谷歌瀏覽器v70正式版引入了諸多新的功能，包括畫中畫功能，禁用谷歌綁定登陸，在Windows平台支持Progressive Web Apps，允許用戶嚴苛限制擴展可訪問的網站白名單，此外還有AV1解碼器等。
